10 books i’ve hauled recently

TTT book haul

This post is another Top Ten Tuesday feature, however, I decided to change it ever so slightly. Instead of talking about ten books I’ve hauled from a specific genre (which is what the original idea is), I decided it would just be fun to talk about some of the books I’ve hauled recently that I’m super excited about! I rarely ever do book hauls on my blog, but I have accumulated quite a number of books recently so I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to talk about how excited I am to read them!

So, enough blabbing, let’s talk books!

Lord of Shadows – Cassandra Clare

This one was my most anticipated release for 2017, so of course, it’s one I’m extremely excited for! I’m just about to start reading it and I’m excited and scared and nervous and worried but I know that it’s going to be one hell of a book.

When Dimple Met Rishi – Sandhya Menon

28458598

This is another book I’ve been highly anticipating. I mean, look how cute that cover is??? I’ve literally only heard amazing things about it so I cannot wait to read it this month!

Night Swimming – Steph Bowe

33128455

Yay for #LoveOzYA! I’ve been trying to buy and read more Aussie books lately because I think it’s important to support local authors (and there are some pretty amazing Aussie authors out there). I was lucky enough to meet Steph at a launch last month and she was absolutely lovely, so I can’t wait to read her book!

Begin, End, Begin (A #LoveOzYA Anthology) – Edited by Danielle Binks

87558

This book is jam-packed with Aussie YA authors, and I am beyond excited to read it! I’ve been lucky enough to meet 7 of these wonderful authors, and I aim to read their short stories this month, hopefully before the YA Room‘s book meet on the 18th!

Wreck – Fleur Ferris

Another #LoveOzYA book, because like I said I’ve been hauling a lot lately. This is one I am super pumped for! Fleur is a genius when it comes to YA suspense and thrillers, so I know this one will be just as gripping and awesome as her others!

This Savage Song – V.E Schwab

Since I’ve recently read and fallen in love with the Shades of Magic trilogy, I figured it was about damn time I got into some of Schwab’s other works as well. With the sequel coming out this month, I really want to read it ASAP, but let’s be real, my TBR for June is already too much for me to handle.

Strange The Dreamer – Laini Taylor

new-release-date-2

This one I admit to not really knowing much about. I know it has a GORGEOUS cover. I know it has a main character called Lazlo. I know practically everyone has LOVED it so I really couldn’t resist. Not only do I need to read this, but I really need to read Taylor’s other trilogy, which again I’ve heard nothing but good things about.

A Monster Calls – Patrick Ness

I literally found this book for $1. ONE DOLLAR!!!!!!! I’d been wanting to buy it for so long but never picked it up, and I’m glad I didn’t before because what a steal! Another book I’ve only heard good things about, so I can’t wait to dive into this and feel all the feels.

If I Was Your Girl – Meredith Russo

29470648

A lovely friend of mine was kind enough to unhaul this to me, and I am so excited to read it. I’ve heard wonderful things about it, and I really hope I can get around to reading it fairly soon.

The Flywheel – Erin Gough

24681738

And lastly (I’ve hauled many more books but we’ll stick to ten so this post isn’t 10,000 words long), another #LoveOzYA! And another book I’ve heard so many good things about. And another book I’ll tell myself I’ll read soon but probably won’t read for months *shakes head at self*.

These are just a few of the books I’ve hauled recently, but I’m super excited for all of them! Have you read any of these? What were your thoughts?

Until next time, danielle

  1. Strange the Dreamer is SO amazing! It’s probably the best book I’ve read all year (so far). Laini’s writing is some of the most beautiful I’ve ever read. Highly recommend you pick it up soon! ❤️

I was planning on reading the anthology this month but honestly my TBR is already pretty packed like you. So maybe it'll just get put aside for now. I know it'll be an awesome read. Can't wait to see what you get to reading, awesome haul. 😀
