I’m back with another Top Ten Tuesday post from Broke and Bookish because sometimes I need all the help I can get with this blogging thing; BLOGGING IS HARD SOMETIMES OKAY?? Anyway, today I wanted to shame myself and share ten series I am yet to read, but still really want to. I did a post a little while back featuring books I still needed to read, which yes, is quite similar to this, but now I’m just talking about series and not stand-alones. If you wanted to check out that post as well, you can read it here.
Okay! *cracks knuckles* Let’s dive into this shameful list of unread series!
Daughter of Smoke and Bone – Laini Taylor
I wanted to get to this series this year, but it’s already June and June is almost over and I still have so many books to read WHYYYY. This series is still super high on my TBR, and I really do hope that I can get to it before 2018 starts.
Legend – Marie Lu
This is one I don’t even know when I’ll read because I very rarely read or want to read dystopian anymore. I absolutely loved Marie Lu’s other series, The Young Elites, and so I really want to at least give this one a go. It’s relatively short as well, so hopefully, I can find a bit of time to read it in the near future!
The Lunar Chronicles – Marissa Meyer
This is just one of those series I didn’t want to start until all the books were out and I could binge them all together. I have not, in fact, binged them yet. I don’t know what’s stopping me, but I really need to read them soon because I know so many people love this series.
The Winner’s trilogy – Marie Rutkoski
Okay, these covers are so gorgeous. This is another one that I didn’t want to start until I had all three books, and now that I do, I can’t seem to find the time. So many of the series in this list keep getting pushed back by new releases and I AM SORRY OKAY?! I am trying to read you I swear I am.
Shatter Me trilogy – Tahera Mafi
I’ve literally been wanting to read this series for years now. Why haven’t I read it yet? I DON’T EVEN KNOW???? I guess this is another case of, “but look at all the new releases!” But since Mafi is bringing out three more books in this world maybe that’ll push me to read them sooner? (That’s what I’ll tell myself, at least)
The Medoran Chronicles – Lynette Noni
I’m severely behind on #LoveOzYA books, and this is one of them. A lot of my Aussie book friends love this series so far and I really need to get onto it already. I probably keep putting it off because it’s not finished yet, but in saying that, there are series in this list that are complete and I haven’t read. So basically, STOP MAKING EXCUSES DANIELLE AND JUST READ THEM ALREADY!
Slammed – Colleen Hoover
You’d think I would’ve read this one already, seeing as I am Colleen Hoover trash. I think I’m a little hesitant about it because they were her very first books and obviously her writing will have changed quite a lot since then, so I’m worried I won’t enjoy them as much as all of her other, newer books. I guess I just have to bite the bullet and find out sooner or later, but hopefully sooner.
Covenant series – Jennifer L. Armentrout
After loving JLA’s LUX series, I was so pumped to read more by her. Everyone had been comparing this series to Vampire Academy but with Demi-Gods instead of vampires. You should know by now that VA is one of my all-time favourites, so this series is definitely something that intrigues me a lot. The books are also relatively short and JLA’s writing is super fast-paced, so I don’t really know what’s stopping me from jumping into this series.
Starbound trilogy – Amie Kaufman & Meghan Spooner
Having met Amie Kaufman a few times now, I am feeling very guilty for not having read this trilogy yet. I’m not crazy about sci-fi, and so I haven’t really read too many, but I still enjoy it? I know, it doesn’t really make much sense, but I think I just enjoy fantasy more. I still really want to read this trilogy, however. I know it’ll be super entertaining and wonderful purely because Amie Kaufman co-wrote it.
Miss Peregrines trilogy – Ransom Riggs
This is another series that’s been on my TBR for some time now. But, unlike the others, I’m not sure if I’ll ever get around to this one. It definitely intrigues me, but I’ve heard kind of mixed things and I’m not sure it’s a series I’ll absolutely fall in love with. I don’t know, I may change my mind, so let me know if you’ve read this trilogy and if it’s worth it!
That’s just a few of the series I’ve been meaning to read, there are a lot more I could list, trust me! Let me know if you’ve read any of these, or just what series you still need to read!
Until next time,
